The Revelation 12 Prophecy : Does Bible Talk Match Bible Text?

Do not be fooled with false prophecies by men. That should be the end of this piece but it’s not. The Bible and Jesus himself warns us this would happen. Here are some examples from the Old Testament and New Testament. Man is still the same as they’ve always been. As Ecclestiastes 1:9 says :

“The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.”

People today should have learned from Things like Johnathan Cahn’s false Harbinger and Shmita prophecies or even Al Gore’s nonsense about “global warming”. But here we are yet again with the upcoming September 23rd prophecy of the rapture or the Earth’s destruction whichever you might buy into. Well, what you’re about to see should set this straight. It’s nonsense.

The “’prophecy” itself is based on Revelation 12. The planets will align creating a constellation that resembles “The woman” with 12 stars above her head and a crescent moon. But there’s one problem with this. Revelation 12 has nothing to do with the stars as I’m about to prove with simple Bible study.

We’re going to do this the right way to avoid confusion. The prophecy of Revelation 12 actually appears in two other places in the Old Testament . We’ll start where all prophecy starts in Genesis 3. We’ll start at verse 13 where God is asking Eve about what just happened. She has eaten the fruit and God is now confronting Eve and Lucifer in the garden along with Adam.

Genesis 3

13 And the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.

14 And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:

15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

There is the prophecy that’s sets up all others through the Bible. So is the “woman” in Revelation 12 Eve or women in general? No, although Satan does have hatred for women. One got him in trouble with God so he hates women that we do know. In most cults women are second class citizens or 3rd class in Islam as we can clearly see. As you will see “the woman” in Revelation 12 is Israel. We in Christ are “the bride” but in bible prophecy “the woman” is always Israel.

First let’s break down Genesis 3:15. The woman and her seed. The word “enmity” is hate. He will hate “the woman”. Bruising his head is talked about in Revelation with the 7 heads of “the Beast” (Rev 13 and 17). His empire gets wounded but comes back. How will Satan bruise the “seed of the woman’s “heel? Where did the spikes go through Jesus’ feet? Through the heel.

If the woman is Israel then her seed is Jesus. Eve was long gone before the New Testament was ever written. Some think the woman is Mary. No it is not. Let’s look at the Bible itself to prove this.

Now wo move to Genesis 37 where Joseph tells his brothers of his dream. This is  and Genesis 3 are where the Revelation 12 vision of John in heaven comes from. Notice I said “in Heaven” not “in the heavens”. Big difference.

Genesis 37:

9 And he dreamed yet another dream, and told it his brethren, and said, Behold, I have dreamed a dream more; and, behold, the sun and the moon and the eleven stars made obeisance to me.

10 And he told it to his father, and to his brethren: and his father rebuked him, and said unto him, What is this dream that thou hast dreamed? Shall I and thy mother and thy brethren indeed come to bow down ourselves to thee to the earth?

In this particular dream Jacob understood he was “the sun”, his wife Rebekah was “the moon” and the brothers were the 11 stars and Joseph was the 12th star. In other words, the twelve tribes of Israel (Jacob). It’s a prophecy of glory is what this is. Make sense? Stay with me it will.

I’ll bet now you’re wondering “if Jacob is Israel then why is Israel depicted as a woman?” am I right? It’s very simple. Throughout the Bible places are described as “women”. Babylon is a woman in Revelation 17. Jerusalem and Judah in Lamentations 1 are the clearest examples. There are several others throughout the Bible.

Now let’s go look at Revelation 12 with better context. As you can see it has nothing to do with astronomy or astrology. In fact, the “blood moons” are on the day Jesus comes back and none other. It’s all nonsense to sell books and tickets for big money “preachers”. Sorry but it’s true. It’s nonsense also.

Revelation 12

And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:

2 And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.

3 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.

4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.

5 And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.

6 And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.

7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,

8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.

9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

13 And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child.

14 And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.

15 And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.

16 And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.

17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

As you can see in context this is about Israel, Satan and Jesus and nothing else. The September 23rd “prophecy” is nonsense and has nothing to do with Revelation 12. So does Bible talk match Bible text in this case? Once again no. It’s time for Christians to read the Bible ourselves and study to show ourselves worthy (2 Timothy 2:15) instead of doing the very thing we accuse the liberals of with the U.S. Constitution. That’s right I said it. As Jesus says in Matthew 7, Christians need to worry about the beem in our own eye first before complaining about the mote in our brother’s eye. Even though I’m a proud American, that’s just a mote compared to the beem of eternity. Thanks for reading and I hoped this is a blessing to just one of you.
